Hi, my name is Harold.
I don’t personally know anyone alive called that.

I grew up in Milan to an American mother and a Belgian father. I have dual nationality. I'm a native speaker of French, English and Italian. After high-school I went to university in Belgium where I studied videogame programming. I was hired after that by a global tech company slightly over four years ago, relocated to Brighton where I live with my hairless cat.

Since then the company has tripled in size and has recently gone public. I now work fully remotely with a team in Copenhagen and I have the privilege of picking my own hours, around meetings. My title is Technical Product Manager and I help direct multiple teams who I engineer and design the software we create.

I think I'd be good company because I know what it feels like to be well accompanied and aware of, but out of genuineness rather than obligation or gain. I'm an easy-going, entertaining and confident communicator with a healthy dose of wit when and if appreciated. I also believe everyone is worth listening to if one knows how to listen.

I would describe myself as a creative by nature, and technical by necessity. I like being outside, I’m a great chef (I guess my go-to would be pasta because of the Italy thing) and I love experiencing new things: I’ll try anything twice. I enjoy good movies, whatever that means, but I have awful taste in music and an even worse sense of humour. If my looks don’t impress you, my mind won’t either.
