I’m a romantic kind of guy. I enjoy candle-lit date nights with smooth jazz. I like my steak well done with asparagus and mac and cheese or mashed potatoes. I’ll drink a glass of dry wine if I’m on a date, but beyond that I don’t drink.

Of course, a date isn’t about the food as much as the company. It’s a chance to talk and get to know each other in a laid-back setting where we can relax and be ourselves.

Not that I’m all about relaxing. When I get the chance, I’m always down for a bit of adventure, and when it comes to movies, I’ll take an adrenaline-charged action movie or an edge-of-your-seat suspense film any day.

Recently, I tried rock climbing and camping, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you want to tap into your inner child and unlock a braver part of you, then it’s a great way to get your blood pumping. And who doesn’t love a chance to make s’mores by the campfire?

I like to read. Lately I’ve been reading Napoleon Hill’s spirituality book, Think and Grow Rich. If I had to recommend a film, I’d suggest Life with Martin Lawrence. As for music, I love jazz, rap, and country, but I’m open-minded to pretty much any genre except heavy metal.

My ideal way to spend Sunday is to spend a few hours down the gym working out before enjoying a nice açaí bowl.

Give me three hours to plan a date, and I’ll take you down to Balboa Park where we can enjoy spending some time in a beautiful museum and garden. After that, we can go to a wine tasting or, if you’re feeling hungry, we could enjoy a smashed burger. And rest assured that no matter how we spend our time together, complete discretion is guaranteed.
