I love life and I enjoy meeting new people. The prospect of meeting you, building a warm and affectionate rapport, and doing fun things together sounds wonderful! I live in southern Wisconsin, but am willing to make travel work.

I’m well educated and well traveled; a comfortable conversationalist with plenty of stories to tell. I was an active duty Naval Officer for seven years after college, then a high school Social Studies teacher, before moving into a long and successful career working as an Account Executive in technical sales.

I enjoy almost any outdoor activity: hiking the Ice Age Trail, tennis or pickleball, ultimate frisbee, water skiing, golf (I’m not great but I enjoy it.) In winter I ski downhill and cross country, ice skate, and, when I’m done burning calories for the day, I like to sit back and read by the fire.

I have a portable massage table and am glad to help you relax your muscles. Or, want to do a puzzle together?–I can bring a small one of Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring.”  I enjoy dance but could do with some refresher lessons–want to take some together?

Shall we do a night out on the town?–maybe a concert or play? Bike or hike to a romantic spot at sunset? Perhaps you’re ready for a relaxed evening inside: I’ll cook a meal for you with wine, candlelight, music and cuddling on the couch. If you want, I’ll read aloud–which I find intimate and satisfying–or recite poetry to you.

When it comes to conversation, I like to follow the maxim “never bring up money, sex, or politics.” That being said, I’d love to hear your thoughts and feelings no matter the subject and, as a Political Science major, I’m happy to discuss the fascinating and frustrating aspects of the US political landscape, so long as you bring it up first.

On that note, I should mention that I grew up in a Christian home and still attend church regularly. As with politics, I won’t say anything about that while we’re together, unless you’d like to discuss it, in which case I’m more than happy to talk about my beliefs or learn about yours. I welcome a respectful and fun exploration of worldviews.
