Writing a male escort profile that really sells your strengths can be hard. From choosing the right photos to standing out from the crowd, there’s a lot to do and a lot that can go wrong.
Fortunately, here at TMEA we have a lot of experience in what works and what doesn’t. Today, we’ll be sharing those insights to help you write a profile that shows clients the best of what you can offer.
This guide comes in two parts. This first part is about you, and how to sell yourself, your style, and your personality to clients.
In the second part, we look at understanding the clients’ needs, and how to demonstrate that you know how to address those needs within your profile.
Getting started
The blank page can be a scary thing, especially if you don’t write very often. For some, the possibilities can feel endless and the challenge is choosing which ideas to run with. For others it can leave them feeling empty and uncertain, with no idea where to even start.
Although this problem can feel overwhelming, the solution is always the same: just write something.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t even have to sound good. At TMEA we make sure to edit all profiles for style and quality so even if your writing doesn’t sound great, we’ll take care of it for you. It’s the content that matters, not the execution.
If you’re struggling to write about yourself then try answering some of the following questions:
- What are your hobbies?
- What do you do for entertainment?
- Do you have any creative interests?
- Who do you admire/look up to?
- What type of fashion do you enjoy?
- What’s that one topic you could talk about for hours?
- If your friends had to describe you, what would they say? – and if you don’t know the answer to this one, try asking them.
Refining your profile
At this point, if you’ve joined us here The Male Escort Agency, you’re welcome to ping it over to us so we can review it and give more pointers if necessary.
The best profiles are the ones that come from escorts who take the time to refine their profiles themselves, and made something that really represents them. If that’s you, then here are some important things to keep in mind.
Never copy from other people’s profiles. Taking inspiration is one thing but don’t use the exact same words. Not only is this against our Terms & Conditions, it’s also doing a disservice to yourself. Originality is what sells.
When writing your profile, don’t talk about your appearance. Your pictures do that job for you. A description adds nothing, and also runs the risk of making you look vain if the client reading your description doesn’t agree.
Make sure to research your country/state’s laws. This is particularly important because, when it comes to legal escorting, phrasing and presentation can make a big difference.
How to stand out from the crowd
When clients come to TMEA, they don’t just look at one profile. They browse their options, searching for that one guy who really excites them. There’s no one trick to being that guy. If you want to stand out, then it pays to be authentic and unique. This authenticity and originality are why you should be wary of using AI to write your profile.
Of course, it’s impossible to capture a whole person in about 500 words (give or take), which is why you need to paint in broad strokes. Find the parts of your personality that stand out the most and lean into them.
Here are some examples:
| Boring ❌ | Interesting ✔️ |
| I like to eat in restaurants | I’m a bit of a food nerd. If you’re looking for someone to recommend a restaurant, I’m your man. |
| I enjoy sports | I love sports. Give me a ball, a field, and some competition, and I’m in my element. |
| In my spare time I watch films | I’m a massive film buff. Sofa or cinema, you’re sure to find me with a tub of popcorn in one hand and a cool drink in the other. |
| I’m funny | Some people say I’m funny. Others not so much. Either way, my jokes are pun-forgettable. |
| I’m good at making people smile | I’m good at making people smile, though my dog insists it’s actually him doing all the work. |
Some guys worry that they’ll put clients off because they’re too nerdy, too into sports, too formal or too informal. In a sense, they’re right. These details are like pineapple on pizza; some people hate them, but others really love them.
There’s no use in avoiding pineapple details. If you try to do that, what you’ll get is an end result that’s bland and flat. Mr Bland and Mr Beige rarely do well, unless that’s specifically what the client is looking for.
By trying to appeal to everybody, you run the risk of appealing to nobody. Instead, we’d encourage you to embrace the pineapple and find the clients who are going to be really excited about the things that make you who you are.
That’s it for this first part. Join us in Part II where we talk about addressing the clients’ needs, setting boundaries, and a little about photography. If you’ve come here directly from the definitive guide hub, check out the previous article on What Women Want From A Male Escort Profile.
